Today, I’m excited to officially introduce the first of the three announced upgrades — Verified Future Dividends.
From now on, every future dividend payment inside the app will clearly display:
Confirmed value
Currency
Official source
Proof of verification
Because these numbers aren’t abstract. They’re not theoretical projections. They’re money you plan your life around.
One of the most painful problems we run into as dividend investors isn’t market volatility or stock prices. It’s something much more basic — not knowing how much money is actually going to hit our account.
We’ve all seen this happen. We open a broker app or an analytics service, see an expected dividend of $10, plan around it — and then $4 shows up. Or $6. Or something completely different. No warning. No explanation. Just a quiet gap between what we thought we’d receive and what actually arrived.
The company has already increased its dividend, and the annual payout now stands at $5.20 per share.
The company is not paying a 9% dividend. The current yield is only around 3%, and the higher figure shown above is simply a miscalculation based on incorrect, unverified data. And this is coming directly from a brokerage account.
And this is only a small fraction of the data inconsistencies we see across brokerage platforms. These are two real examples taken directly from brokerage account dashboards.
That gap breaks planning.
Dividend income isn’t abstract for us. It’s not a theory or a backtest. It’s the money we use to cover real expenses — bills, subscriptions, savings goals, lifestyle choices. When the numbers are wrong, even slightly, it creates friction, frustration, and uncertainty.
The uncomfortable truth is that many brokers and popular analytics platforms get this wrong more often than they should. Currency conversions are off. Special dividends are mixed with regular ones. Withholding taxes aren’t clearly reflected. Sometimes the data is simply outdated or pulled from unreliable secondary sources.
To find clean, verified, official dividend information, we usually have to dig deep — annual reports, press releases, investor relations pages, regulatory filings. That takes serious time. And if we want professional-grade data sources, it often costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars per year.
That’s the pain Verified Future Dividends is designed to eliminate.
With this update, every future dividend payment shown inside MaxDividends is not an estimate or a guess. It’s a confirmed number, tied to a specific currency, backed by a clearly identified official source, and accompanied by proof of verification.
